Courses

 

During the spring 2015 semester BSU launched courses in the Massachusetts Certified Public Managers ® (MA-CPM) program on the both the Bridgewater and Cape Cod campuses. BSU was selected as the home for the state’s MA-CPM program – only one program, under the national consortium, can operate within a state at one time. The MA-CPM program is designed to provide education and training of managers and supervisors in the public and non-profit sectors. The purpose of the program is to develop the following competencies of public service professionals: personal and organizational integrity; work management; leadership; professional development; system integration; public service; and change leadership. Graduates can expect to benefit from the MA-CPM program through the enhancement of their personal leadership strengths, and the increasing of their intergovernmental networks and communication skills.  Additional professional benefits include learning how to develop innovative and progressive solutions to public sector issues, and developing and promoting quality and ethical public service behaviors.

The program offers evening, weekend and web assisted courses to accommodate busy professionals; a diverse faculty with extensive direct relevant experience in a variety of public service and public affair settings; addresses timely public service issues; has small class sizes and affordable tuition. The MA-CPM program is available to individuals interested in grad-credit and non-credit education.
