National Certified Public Manager®Program

During the fall 2015, the Massachusetts Certified Public Manager® program at Bridgewater State University was granted Active Status as a CPM program.  Presently, the Massachusetts Certified Public Manager® program is offering an array of courses towards earning the certification and is preparing for national accrediation.

"Formed in 1979, the National Certified Public Manager®
Consortium establishes and preserves standards for the Certified Public Manager® designation. The quality and efficiency of management in government have a major impact on the lives of citizens and the orderly functioning of society. Systematic training programs are essential to maintain and improve the effectiveness and professionalism of government managers.
The purpose of the Consortium is to promote CPM programs by providing and monitoring accreditation standards, facilitating program development, encouraging innovation and developing linkages with programs and organizations with similar concerns.  Those earning the Certified Public Manager® designation are eligible to become Fellows of the American Academy of Certified Public Managers. " (National Certified Public Manger® Program website)
